Our basic program consists of Dynamite Plus or Dynamite Original or our new TNT, and the four Free Choices: NTM Salt, Izmine natural trace mineral/electrolyte, 1 to 1 Free Choice and 2 to 1 Free Choice. Dynamite Plus has a lower vitamin and mineral analysis than Dynamite, but contains more calcium and phosphorus in a balanced ratio, and additional microtrace elements, herbal ingredients and clays. These natural mineral deposits and clays act as detoxifiers to help protect the system from toxins in the feed and water. Seventy (70) microtrace elements in a naturally chelated form stimulate natural enzymes. Digestion and protein utilization are enhanced with several forms of digestive cultures. Dynamite Plus acts as a catalyst for the feed ration, in addition to supplementing nutrients. It is a "smorgasbord" of many aspects of the Dynamite technology, and is a great "one a day" supplement for those wishing a simple program. Dynamite Plus is low in selenium, so you may wish to supplement with our E-Selenium product if you live in a low selenium area. Dynamite Plus is the favorite of barrel racers and pleasure riders. Horses that are flat racing, eventing, jumping, or competing at high levels of dressage may require the Dynamite Original or TNT which contain more blood builder elements with additional selenium.

1 to 1 Free Choice
1 to 1 Free Choice was designed to provide commonly deficient elements necessary for proper development of bone, ligaments, tendons, connective tissues and milk production in horses and other livestock. Amino acid chelated minerals, sources of organic silica which the body can transmute to calcium, buffered vitamin C, detoxifying clays and herbs make this the most complete skeleton support on the market.1 to 1 Free Choice provides a ratio of 1 part calcium to 1 part phosphorus; use for phosphorus deficient areas or if legume (alfalfa, clover) hay is fed. Regarding the philosophy of free choice mineral supplements, authors Philip A. Wheeler, PhD., and Ronald B. Ward say, in The Non-Toxic Farming Handbook, "Free choicing of minerals and additives is a controversial concept. It is said to be impossible by some experts for an animal to choose, free choice, what it needs. Why then, do animals chew bark, eat dirt, drink from corral urine pools, and crib? Why do they stop that activity when given specific supplements? There is a strong case for free choicing, and a producer should explore it for himself.". We have chosen to restrict our horses to stalls, paddocks or pastures with limited forage options, where in nature they would roam many square miles in search of natural clays, mineral deposits and herbs/plants. James Helfter, writing in Holistic Horse magazine, tells of a study done by Dr. William Tyznik of Ohio State University, whereby he put out four options for horses: plain salt, trace mineral salt, limestone and phosphorus. These were widely spaced out in the living area and rearranged weekly, and dependent upon ration changes during the week from high to low calcium, the horses would eat the corresponding supplement to maintain blood and tissue balance.
Ingredients: Monocalcium Phosphate, Calcium Carbonate, Monosodium Phosphate, Salt, Montmorillonite Clay, Diatomaceous Earth, Sodium Bentonite, Potassium Chloride, Wheat Bran, Yeast Culture, Magnesium Sulfate, Potassium Sulfate, Sulfur, Calcium Amino Acid Chelate, Phosphorus Amino Acid Complex, Deactivated Animal Sterol (source of Vitamin D3), Calcium Ascorbate, Copper Sulfate, Copper Amino Acid Chelate, Copper Choline Citrate complex, and Zinc Amino Acid Chelate.
Directions: Place 1 to 1 Free Choice in a dry container out of the weather and allow animals free access at all times. Do not force feed. When first introduced, the animals may consume as much as 8 ounces a day or more, but will slow consumption as they become balanced. Continued consumption of high amounts for more than 30 days signals the need for a feed analysis to balance the ration.

2 to 1 Free Choice
2 to 1 Free Choice was designed to provide commonly deficient elements necessary for proper development of bone, ligaments, tendons, connective tissues and milk production in horses and other livestock. Amino acid chelated minerals, sources of organic silica which the body can transmute to calcium, buffered vitamin C, detoxifying clays and herbs make this the most complete skeleton support on the market. 2 to 1 Free Choice provides a ratio of 2 parts calcium to 1 part phosphorus; use for calcium deficient areas or if straight grass hay is fed. Directions: Place 2 to 1 Free Choice in a dry container out of the weather and allow animals free access at all times. Do not force feed. When first introduced, the animals may consume as much as 8 ounces a day or more, but will slow consumption as they become balanced. Continued consumption of high amounts for more than 30 days signals the need for a feed analysis to balance the ration.

Breeder Pack
Usually, Dynamite or Dynamite Plus or TNT is all that the average, healthy mare or stallion needs for optimum reproductive performance. However, a horse that has been raced or in competition often has been given bloodbuilders high in iron and copper, and these tend to suppress the manganese and zinc important for reproductive function. These horses as well as heavily booked stallions, problem breeders and older breeding animals will benefit from Breeder Pac.
Ingredients: Processed Grain By-Products, Yeast Culture, Dehydrated Alfalfa Meal, Ground Extruded Whole Soybeans, Vitamin A Acetate, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Carotene, Corn Germ Meal (Dry Milled), a-Tocopherol Acetate (Source of Vitamin E), Biotin, Riboflavin, Niacin, Choline Chloride, Magnesium Sulfate, Menadione Sodium Bisulfate Complex (Source of Vitamin K), Potassium Sulfate, Sodium Selenite, Iron Amino Acid Chelate, Manganese Amino Acid Chelate, Zinc Amino Acid Chelate, Copper Amino Acid Chelate and Sodium Bentonite.
Directions: Feed 2 oz./60 gm of Breeder Pac per day (1000# horse) along with 1 oz. /30 gm of Dynamite or 1.5 oz/45 gm of Dynamite Plus. Do not add other brands of supplements or fortified feeds. You should provide 1 to 1 and/or 2 to 1 Free Choice and Free Choice NTM Salt. Best results will be obtained by feeding Breeder Pac starting at least 60 days before breeding and continuing through gestation.
Dyna Hoof
Formulated for the occasional horse with extreme hoof problems, DynaHoof contains "chelazones", which are minerals that are bound to the specific amino acids which relate to hoof growth. This supplement is "targeted" direct to the hoof tissue.
Ingredients: Corn Germ Meal (Dry Milled), Monocalcium Phosphate, Dicalcium Phosphate, dL-Methionine, Zinc Amino Acid Chelate, Calcium Amino Acid Chelate, Magnesium Amino Acid Chelate, Iron Amino Acid Chelate, Copper Amino Acid Chelate, Manganese Amino Acid Chelate, Potassium Amino Acid Complex, Sulfur, Biotin and Flavoring.
Directions: Feed 1 oz./.30 gm per day over the feed, preferably moistened. For best results, feed with Dynamite or Dynamite Plus. Enclosed yellow scoop heaping full equals 1 oz./30gr.
Dyna-Pro
Dyna-Pro is a biological feed additive designed to maximize digestive efficiency. Physical and psychological stress caused by travel, competition, breeding or treatment with antibiotics and some of the antiparasite products can dramatically disrupt a horse's metabolism by destroying or depleting the beneficial intestinal bacteria. These bacteria must produce all the enzymes necessary to convert feed into a form that the horse can use. The bacteria (microbes) also assist in vitamin production and help prevent harmful bacteria from entering and multiplying in the digestive tract. While other probiotic formulas on the market merely add one or more strains of beneficial bacteria, Dyna-Pro uses a fermentation extract which nourishes the natural bacteria and encourages them to reproduce and multiply.
Ingredients: Lactobacillus Acidophilus non-viable Fermentation Product, Water, Lactic Acid, Dried Kelp, Vitamin D Supplement, Folic Acid, Ascorbic Acid, Vitamin A Supplement, Magnesium Sulfate, Copper Sulfate, Zinc Sulfate and Iron Sulfate with Calcium Propionate, Sodium Benzoate and Phosphoric Acid as preservatives.
Directions: Stressed or rehabilitating horses: 6 ml. (1/4 oz) per day; Foals, as maintenance: 3 ml. (1/8 oz) per day
Dyna-Shield
Description: Dyna-Shield is a naturally formulated and chemical-free horse spray designed for both conscientious horse and pet owners concerned with protecting their animals from summer sun while conditioning coat and soothing insect related skin issues.
This product is in CONCENTRATED form and will need to be diluted and placed into a spray bottle for application. There are always individuals sensitive to even natural products. For those, try diluting Dyna-Shield down further than standard directions.

For general stress and dehydration, use 1 ounce daily or as needed.
Easy Balance
Cushing’s disease and Laminitis are usually classified together as Equine Metabolic Syndrome (EMS). They originate from the same fundamental metabolic issues, namely pituitary imbalance which causes the body to increase secretion of ACTH and then to overproduce cortisone. Insulin Resistance (IR) also fits this category of EMS. In fact, many horses that show pre-Cushing’s symptoms but have normal ACTH levels are actually Insulin Resistant. These horses have high insulin levels as a result of their muscles’ inability to absorb glucose for fuel, which causes the body to produce more insulin in an effort to use the glucose. Insulin Resistant horses are analogous to human Type 2 Diabetics.
Symptoms of EMS Imbalances: Drinking and urinating excessively. Fat deposits in the shoulders, rump, above the eyes, and cresty necks that can get thick and hard. General obesity, until the latter stage of the disease when there is weight loss and muscle wasting. Depression and lethargy, sensitivity to touch in the flank and barrel. Thick curly coat which is slow to shed, and sometimes patchy shedding and odd sweating patterns, especially in the Cushing’s horses, but may also be present in laminitis and IR. Impaired immunity and lowered resistance to infections and to skin and dental infections in particular. Tendency to founder, also toward winter laminitis episodes. Varying degrees of muscle tightness or even tying-up.
General care of EMS horses includes a low-carb, high fiber diet, with no grain, and a low NSC (low sugar/ starch) hay. High quality protein, anti-oxidants and fatty acids are needed such as those found in Dynamite H.E.S. pellets and OxE Mega. We also recommend Dynamite Vitamin Mineral Supplement or TNT for available minerals, amino acids and vitamins that fulfill the horse’s basic needs. Dramatically increased levels of two particular minerals, Magnesium and Chromium, have also been found to be invaluable in dealing with EMS.
Magnesium levels in particular should be increased well over the needs of the average horse. Magnesium relaxes the blood vessels for better circulation, especially important in the small blood vessels of the feet. In humans, magnesium has also been shown to lower Creactive protein (CRP) which is a sign of inflammation in the body. Blood sugar stabilization and thyroid support are two other functions for which magnesium is invaluable. Magnesium deficiencies exhibit as nervousness, muscular tightness, irritability, excitability and poor memory retention. Most of the U.S. is deficient in magnesium in the soil, especially on both coasts and anywhere there is clay soil. The high stress lifestyle of many horses leads to an increased need for magnesium, and mares are notoriously deficient in magnesium due to estrogen levels. Since it is impossible to overdose magnesium and it is non-toxic, it makes sense to supplement generously, as the deficiency may even be a predisposing factor to the development of EMS.
Chromium helps the body to use insulin more effectively so that insulin and blood sugar levels do not rise abnormally. Anecdotally, we have seen reductions in neck crestiness and obesity with the addition of 1,000 mcg up to 3,000 mcg (1 to 3 mg) of chromium daily to the diet of an EMS horse, or even more if necessary. Chromium has the unique ability to balance blood glucose as it lowers high blood glucose in diabetics and corrects low blood glucose in hypoglycemics. Low blood sugar is a leading cause of anxiety and nervousness, so chromium has stabilizing effects on the emotions as well. Building lean body mass and preventing the breakdown of muscle tissue in human athletes is another ability of chromium and this appears to translate into the maintenance of EMS horses as well. Dynamite Easy Balance contains just under 1 mg (1000 mcg) of niacin-bound chromium per oz. This is the most expensive source, and the only source of chromium that is definitively proven in research to balance blood sugar levels.
Cinnamon has been discovered to be valuable in the treatment of Type 2 Diabetics and appears to have the ability to balance blood sugar. Dynamite Easy Balance contains pure, fresh ground, organic cinnamon for palatability as well as for blood sugar balance. Thiamine plays a vital role in carbohydrate metabolism. A recent study at Warwick Medical School in the UK, as quoted in a Health Sciences Institute e-alert, states that researchers “have discovered that deficiency of thiamine - Vitamin B1 - may be key to a range of vascular problems for people with diabetes.” Diabetes researchers knowthat previous animal research has already established such a link. The author of the article - Kathryn Mays-Wright - begins by comparing thiamine to a positive role model that can actually “teach” cells how to overcome the bad influence of glucose. Kathryn notes that when the vitamin is deficient, “your cells are literally soaking in a toxic glucose bath. This gives glucose ample opportunity to move in and cause all sorts of problems, from fatigue to neuropathy.”
Easy Balance is an offshoot of Dynamite’s wonderful magnesium supplement, Easy Boy™, which has been used successfully for calming as well as for assisting IR and Laminitic/Cushing’s horses. Our previous recommendation was to add 1 mg to 3 mg or more of health food store-bought chromium to the Easy Boy but now it is done for you in one convenient supplement!

H.E.S.
H.E.S. stands for High Energy Supplement Pellets. 30% protein and 8% fat make this product an ideal addition to the grain ration for hard working horses, lactating broodmares, growing horses or hard keepers. The fat is in the form of organic, whole extruded soybeans. These pellets are a component of our Complete Pelleted Grain Ration.
Ingredients: Whole Extruded Soybeans, Corn Germ Meal, Yeast Culture, Salt, Amino Acid Chelates of Iron, Zinc, Manganese, Magnesium, Copper and Cobalt; Vitamin A Supplement, Deactivated Animal Sterol (source of vitamin D3), Riboflavin Supplement, Niacin Supplement, Calcium Pantothenate, Choline Chloride and Vitamin B12 Supplement.
Directions: Feed 1/2 lb./.25 kg up to 1 1/2 lbs./.75 kg per 1000# of body weight, depending on exercise level, along with the regular ration. Always divide into two feedings, and introduce this concentrate slowly to allow the digestive system time to adjust. The density is approximately 5.2 ounces per cup, hence 3 cups would equal 1 pound.
Fat, when fed in the form of separated oils such as corn or vegetable oil, inhibits the absorption of the fat soluble vitamins A,D, E & K. Horses do not have gall bladders, the organ which emulsifies fats for digestion in other species, so the oils tend to tie up receptor sites in the intestine. A and D are important for calcium absorption, so oils should not be fed to athletes, growing horses or broodmares. Vitamin E is important for immune functions, and vitamin K regulates the ability of the blood to clot normally. H.E.S. is the ideal fat supplement, because the whole soybean contains the oil in its unseparated form, with the protein and enzymes necessary for complete digestion.
Because dietary fat is important for hormone balance, mares benefit greatly from a bit of this supplement.
Use H.E.S. to make your Pelleted Grain Ration or dry c.o.b. mix into a great Senior, Athletic or Junior ration! Add your Dynamite Original, TNT, or Dynamite Plus, of course.
Fans of H.E.S. call it "topline in a bag" for its ability to build healthy muscling.
H.E.S. is a great "grain substitute" for carb-intolerant horses, such as those with insulin resistance, Cushing's or EPSM.

When first introduced, the animals may consume as much as 8 ounces a day or more, but will slow consumption as they become balanced. Continued consumption of high amounts for more than 30 days signals the need for a feed analysis to balance the ration.
Miracle Clay
Miracle Clay is an old home remedy that people have used since the early 1900's for various reasons. Its origins are as simple and basic as the old practice of putting mud on a bee sting. Miracle Clay comes from a deposit in Utah and is packaged for Dynamite®, Inc. Geologically speaking, DYNAMITE MIRACLE CLAY (tm) is volcanic ash which was deposited in sea water. By modern definition, it is a swelling type calcium bentonite (montmorillonite or calcium pascolite) in its natural state with no additives, chemicals, or preservatives. The only processing it undergoes is crushing. This clay is an ingredient of many of our products, and is now being offered separately for your additional use.
Ingredients: Calcium Bentonite.
Directions: For horses it may be used internally or externally as desired. It is excellent for legs and hooves, adjust consistency to suit your needs. As a leg tightener, apply to desired area in a thin layer, and let dry. You may leave it on overnight, then rinse off. For hoof abcesses or after race soreness, apply the Miracle Clay thickly to the bottom of the hoof, and cover with a piece of brown paper cut to the exact size of the hoofprint. Leave in place for 6- 12 hours, or until it falls out by itself. May also be used on areas of body soreness. Since Roman times, clays have been used as a diagnostic tool. Applied to an area, the drying pattern will indicate the exact location of the compromised tissue, as the heat will keep the clay moist for a longer time. Miracle Clay has also been used successfully as a post-vaccination poultice, to minimize soreness and tissue reaction. Performance horses with stomach ulcers have also shown a positive response to an ounce of Miracle Clay daily, administered on an empty stomach as a gel by mouth.
It is thought that horses fed quantities of grain become irritable and "tie up" due to the grain by product, propionic acid (also true of performance dogs). You might consider trying the DYNAMITE MIRACLE CLAY (tm) gel for this problem. One (1) teaspoon for dogs and 1 oz. for horses as needed.
MSM
MSM is a bio-available sulfur compound. Sulfur is important in skin, hair, connective tissue, hormones and immunoglobulins. Dynamite MSM is Ultra Pure(tm) containing 450 gm. per pound.

Directions: 2 to 4 tsp. per day.
NTM Salt
NTM Salt is a 100% natural deposit from a prehistoric sea bed. Better than sea salt, because it has not been affected by pollution. No artificial ingredients or flow improvers of any kind are added.
Jim Zamzow says: "Animals in natural range have access to salt all the time, through dirt and natural mineral deposits. By confining them, we have taken away their ability to forage for this important mineral, which is absolutely essential to their optimum health and electrolyte balance. Sodium is a very reactive mineral, and is capable of transmuting in the body to the other cations (calcium, magnesium or potassium). Thus if hay is very high in potassium, as might occur through improper fertilization or during drought conditions, horses given access to unlimited sodium chloride (salt) can help balance these minerals. Salt should never be force-fed, as this can result in an electrolyte imbalance which can cause tying up, thumps and other muscle problems. Horses who eat an excessive amount of salt are usually attempting to compensate for feed imbalances, and this situation should be investigated through feed or hair analysis if it continues. Dynamite NTM Salt is hand selected from an ancient sea bed deposit, crushed, screened and then packaged under USDA approved conditions to assure you of the finest natural trace mineral salt available today. It is an ingredient in our Free Choice mixes, and has been successfully used as a natural electrolyte for endurance horses, along with Izmine. Use it with confidence that you are providing the finest natural salt source available!"
Use as a loose, naturally-mined salt from ancient sea beds - for use in lieu of standard bleached, glued salt blocks.
Ingredients: 100% natural salt and trace minerals!
Directions: Place NTM Salte in a dry container out of the weather and allow animals free access at all times. Do not force feed. When first introduced, the animals may consume as much as 8 ounces a day or more, but will slow consumption as they become balanced. Continued consumption of high amounts for more than 30 days signals the need for a feed analysis to balance the ration.

Relax may be used immediately before an event.

Ingredients: Distilled Water, Tinctures of Cascade Herbs: Oakleaf, Chamomile, Violet Flower, Yarrow, Horsetail, Stump Fern, Aspen Bark, Yellow Flower Root, Blue Flower and .05% Alcohol as a Preservative.

S.O.D. Powder
This product is a supplement of zinc, copper and manganese chelated to amino acids. These trace minerals are especially important in the production of the free radical scavenging enzyme super oxide dismutase (S.O.D.) The immune system is the body's self defense system, and S.O.D. is an especially important part of the white blood cells.
Ingredients: Copper Amino Acid Chelate, Zinc Amino Acid Chelate, Manganese Amino Acid Chelate, Magnesium Amino Acid Chelate and Potassium Amino Acid Complex.
Directions: Feed one level scoop (21 grams) per 250 lbs. of body weight per day for 10 days. Do not exceed 5 scoops per day. Feed with Dynamite or Dynamite Plus.
Super Stress
This formula adds pure amino acid chelated minerals which are potent blood builders to the Hiscorbadyne, and was developed for horses under the extreme stress of the race tracks.
Ingredients: Vitamin E Supplement, Potassium Amino Acid Complex, Amino Acid Chelates of Iron, Manganese, Zinc, Copper, Cobalt and Magnesium; Dried Citrus Meal, Buckwheat Middlings, Menadione Sodium Bisulfate Complex (source of Vitamin K), Calcium Ascorbate*, and Flavoring.
*Source of Calcium Ascorbate – Ester-C, a licensed trademark of Zila Nutraceuticals, Inc.
Directions: For 1000# horse, start with 50 gm (approx. 1/2 cup) per day for 10 days, then reduce to 25 gm (approx 1/4 cup) per day thereafter. Before a race or event, feed the 50 gm dose for four days. For maintenance, feed 10 gm (2 tsp.) per day.
Super Stress is best fed in a lightly moistened feed, so it does not get snorted away. "Fluff" the product before measuring as you would with flour when baking, as it is very dense and may settle during shipping and handling. The scoop in the bucket holds approximately 1/4 cup when heaping full.
Use with only the regular training levels of Dynamite Original (1 3/4 oz. per day), TNT (1 1/3 cup per day) or Dynamite Plus (3 oz. per day), do not double the basic supplement when feeding Super Stress.
As the mineral levels optimize in the horse's body, he may "flatten out" on Super Stress. Less is more, so reduce the feeding to maintenance (2 tsp. per day) then feed 1/2 cup for four days before the race or event. Many users change to Hiscorbayne for maintenance, after using one bucket of Super Stress first. Then, they go back to using Super Stress for 3 days before an event, to increase energy.
Do not feed any other brand of supplement or fortified feed (other than Dynamite products) with Super Stress, or use any injectible blood builders. Super Stress is potent stuff, please don't overload the horse and upset the balance of the Dynamite products!
To give the vitamin C and related bioflavonoid compounds optimum time to effect capillary strengthening in bleeders, do not race or work the horse for 30 days. Galloping is fine.
Super Stress is great nutritional support to use at the first sign of coughing or respiratory distress.
