What can I say about Bucky?
Well, Moochie and Bucky are the two horses that propelled me at breakneck speed on my horsemanship journey.
Since we humans don't know what we don't know, I didn't know at the beginning how little I actually knew.
Then I had these two fairly good looking horses with some extreme issues.
I first turned to Pat Parelli for help and advanced to almost finishing Level 3.
Then I had the good fortune to meet someone who introduced me to Buck Brannaman. After meeting Buck,
I began to study the Trinity: Bill Dorrance, Tom Dorrance and Ray Hunt. I regret that they are all deceased
but Buck Brannaman is truly an exceptional horseman and an unparalleled teacher.
My horsemanship has come so far since being introduced to Buck's teachings.
I've spent time with Karen Rohlf, Brent Graef and Julie Robins - the last two are advanced student's of Buck's.
I have learned so much and it's all thanks to Moochie and Bucky. Without them, I wouldn't be the horsewoman I am today.
Horses are perfect teachers.
Bucky has taught me so much in the last few years. Together we've become a team.
That's something I dreamed about for a long time, but had no expectation that it would really happen.

About a year after we got Bucky, a little mare stole my heart. Her name is Doodlebug.
She is just the sweetest little rescue pony there has ever been!
Thank goodness I knew something about natural horsemanship before she came into our lives!
It took 6 months just to get her to come into her stall to eat. Thanks for teaching me about patience, Doodle!

Radar came to us in February, 2007. He is a wonderful teacher - Yoda with long ears. We are learning so much from him:
"Life is supposed to be fun and if it's not fun, then I'm not doing it."
"Food is everything."
"You scratch my back and I'll stand still while you do it."
"Surely you don't think you can make me follow you around with just that little halter and that long rope, do you?!?!"
Radar, the donkey
